This is a small section of a much larger Lino block, however i find the contrast between the raised black surface and the striations of the scoped out Lino describe a sense of movement which isn't present in the high contrast prints.

An exhibition selected from submitted works

A curator will select from the 161works submitted by 42 artists. The curator is asked to select works of merit within their genre, which will also contribute to a coherent exhibition. The entries include ceramics, textiles, photographs, pencil and charcoal drawings, prints, and paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolour.

This is always an interestiing show, with contrasting styles and approaches to making art. All works are for sale.

Each artist has provided an small work of art as a prize in the draw which will take place on the last day of the exhibition. A £1 ticket buys the chance to own an original art work.
